Really curious as to why this one is giving a infinite recursion error on the null object…

Was just messing about making a VEX deformer, fetching an objects transforms and modifying @P through that, worked fine initially but now the null is very unhappy indeed…

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Henry

This looks like a multithreading bug. If I start houdini with -j1, then the errors go away. Please submit. Thanks!

Hi Edward,
thanks for checking that out. I've submitted it to the bugDB, #82133

Interesting - thanks for the info, Edward! I wonder if some strange things I experienced in similar situations are a multithreading things as well (seemingly unrelated “recursion” messages where, with the right “order of evaluation”, no recursion should appear). If I can reproduce one of those (I think I can), I'll try with -j1 …
