Hello, I'm new to Houdini and while doing a tutorial I noticed that my material palette is totally empty ( 0 children ).

I've tried to restart my computer as well as re-installing Houdini. Nothing worked.

So I'm here begging for your help.

How do I fix this?

Make sure Mantra (Houdini's built-in rendering system) is enabled in the application preferences within the “Rendering” section.



Also, see if anything is available in the Gallery Manager, accessible from the Window menu.



If not, try adding the path to the gallery items manually. For example, on macOS, the location is:

/Applications/Houdini/Houdini16.0.758/Frameworks/Houdini.framework/Versions/16.0.758/Resources/houdini/gallery/Geometry.gal
