I set up a single wire with constraints and a wire solver to test if the simulation is supported in maya through Houdini Engine. It doesn't seem to work for me. Is this type of thing supported through the engine plugin, or am I doing something wrong?
For simulations in general, are they typically brought through Houdini engine into Maya, or are they considered too complex to and transfer over? My purpose here was to use the wire solver as a tool for dynamcally hanging wires inside of Maya. I'm a fairly new user and haven't delved into any other dynamics aspects yet.
Thanks for your help.
Is Wire Solver Simulation Supported in Maya?

This works fine, we've had a tool for this working for over a year now. It could be difficult to tell Houdini when to resim in some cases but never had problem to get the sim run in the first place.
Test the debug option in the Engine menu in Maya to get a Houdini file for your setup. If this outputs a simulation that you can't see in Maya you've found a bug.
