Hi all.
I've been slowly learning houdini and I am now at a point where I am familiarizing myself with Mantra and I am realizing that the internet has very few tuts around setting up multipass/AOV rendering.
I want to set up simple shader rebuild set up:
Diffuse + Spec + Shadow + Depth
I am having trouble with understanding the terminology i would use for specular? An old tutorial says I should select Direct reflection but in 16.5 there is only Direct reflectivity and it comes out blank when I import it into nuke. I have tried to add other AOV types but I am struggling.
Any help would be appreciated.
Migrating from C4D + Arnold and confused by Multipass/AOV rendering options!

Under ‘Export Components’, list the components you want exported (the default is ‘diffuse reflect coat refract volume sss’), then check the box ‘Direct Lighting (per-component).’
If you only want diffuse and specular, delete all the components but leave ‘diffuse reflect’
For depth, check the box “Shading Depth (Pz)”
For shadow matte, add an image plane, and pick ‘Direct Shadow Matte’ from the VEX Variable menu.
