Does anyone have any experiences so far running Houdini on the new 8 core MBPros?

I'm sure it's pretty sweet considering it actually runs quite well on my 2-core MacBook Air!

it runs fine on my 4 core MacBook Pro from 2013 as well…sluggish viewport with volumes and I guess that's a gpu problem. Curious if the Vega GPUs are better than my current GTX650M…obviously CPU based operations will be at least twice as fast.

I have the 8 core i9 with Vega20. Houdini (and Nuke) runs very well. It heats up (i.e., the fans turn on and keep running) with almost any rendering job but sims, viewport, all very quick, responsive. I'll do some pyro, etc this week and see if volumes slow it down.
