Hi everyone !
I'm currently trying to process a bunch of shots from an outside TOP network, except when I try to send things on deadline I can name the group but the jobs are taking work_item names. Which creates things like rop_geometry1_ropfetch1_6_0 and I'd like that name in deadline to reflect which shot it is.
I can't seem to find a way to change the name of a work_item, besides, the rop_geo will overwrite it anyway, is there a way for me to get a nice:
TOP_process_group >
- shot 10
- shot 20

The name of the work item is created from the TOP node's name. So if you change your ropfetch node's name to ‘shot’, the work item, and the job , should then take that name. As for being able to specify a name, that is not currently possible, but if you are able to submit an RFE, we can investigate it.

Is it possible to specify the name as an expression ? To specifically take the work_item name for example ?
