Hi,
I am about to buy a new laptop and would like to double-check its suitability to run Houdini.

I am considering to buy a Lenovo Thinkpad P1 Gen2 with the following:
. Intel Core i7-9750H Processor
. memory: 32GB (16+16) DDR4 2666MHz SoDIMM
. graphic card: NVIDIA Quadro T1000 4GB GDDR5 128bits

Everything compatible? Any potential issue?
Many thanks!

Andr thanks for your quick reply!

I cannot see the graphic card I am about to purchase ( NVIDIA Quadro T1000 4GB GDDR5 128bits ) in the list of the supported cards, yet it seems to comply with the required performance: as it was released only in May 19, may it be that the list is not updated?

Many thanks,
Filippo

You could write the SideFX support if your really want to be sure.
They are usually super fast in the reply.

We use Quadro at work, so for super crazy heavy geo they're good but if it's for home or casual use, GTX are fine. More system RAM and more GPU RAM also helpful.
