Hi all,

I'm trying to face map a plane, but I want to rotate the mapping plane to a vector direction.

E.g. 0.39, 0.0, -0.91.

Are you able to enter a vector/direction into any of the UV tools??

Thanks

For now, I don't only look confused - I really am. Could you, maybe, scribble a picture of what you are trying to do?

I mean … if you are talking about a PLANE (i.e. an infinite two-dimensional object), you could simply specify a few coordinates on that plane, set points at those coordinates and assign UV values to the points. You'd be free to use any kind of projection for that.

It's probably me (again), being in Monday-mode and not grasping anything

you can use Match Axis SOP to rotate your geo to align desired vector to Y for example, then project UV in Y and copy uv to original geo
