Hello,
I'm trying to use Houdini bakers (position and world normal) for use in Substance Designer for Tri Planar projection. However, the results of those bakes don't work well at all inside Substance.
In the first attached screenshot you can see the result of the projection if I use Substance itself for baking. The result looks expected and what I want to achieve using Houdini as well.
In the second screenshot I'm using bakes from Houdini's Labs Maps Baker and as you can see it produces those weird stretches on sides.
The third screenshot shows the result of bakes from Houdini's Labs Simple Baker and that one is an enigma to me. The result is completely broken looking.
Labs Simple Baker not only produces an altogether weird position map but its world normal map is also quite different from the two other bakers. Labs Maps Baker seems to produce a similar world normal map but the position map has that weird ramp in it.
Is there anything I'm missing when baking in Houdini? Trying different settings in both nodes doesn't yield any positive result so far. There was a similar question here https://www.sidefx.com/forum/topic/61501/ [www.sidefx.com] but the only answer there doesn't produce a very satisfactory result as well.
