Animated slice object exported to maya (MAX type if Slice)

Iv have had this thing with Maya that it doesn't have a proper slicing tool like 3d max is there any way to make animated slices of objects and export them out to Maya to render or is there a way to make a tool that could run in Maya to slice like in max?

Any advice or point me in right direction I would be in your debt. thanks

SO i was able to get a bool operator into maya via HD engine but when I connect up a null to my plane that is doing the slice everything works as expected buuut when the plan go past the object on reveal if you go to far it will disappear. In Houdini this doesn't happen is there a way to keep the object showing after reveal in maya using the digital assets? ill post a video.

I figured it out need to make the plane larger an now works just like max

why don't you just clip the dang thing ?

the clip is cool but running in maya while i get the same result the edges are better with the Boolean cutter
