I'm very new in houdini world (I come from other 3d softwares) , and i'm beginning sidefx tutorials for now.

I'm using houdini apprentice 19.5.303.

When using groups, selection doesn't show in 3d viewport (or doesn't show anymore ? - I'm not sure):
- node group is selected (and plugged down geometry).
- display and template flag are active on the node group.
- I tried wireframe,and shaded displays, but I can't see what I select.

This group selection works, because I can use it with other nodes in the network, but I can't see what I select when focusing on the group node itself only.

Thank's for telling me how to solve this.

In my experience, that part of Houdini can b a bit inconsistent/buggy in how it works.
Normally when you have a group node selected with a group and press enter in the vieuwport it should show you the group.

Sometimes it just doesn't do that though. Sometimes I can force it to work by switching auto update on and of.

The selection appears as Yellow tinted elements when the group node is current.

But because Houdinis' scene viewport can be so flaky at times(in many different ways), the selection doesn't always show up at all.

Just have to learn how to kick the coke machine once in a while.

baloney, I'm familiar with bugs in the viewport, but that's not one of them.
