Good morning, I have followed this tutorial on your website▼

https://www.sidefx.com/tutorials/the-power-of-stable-diffusion-in-pdg-stable-houdini-toolset/ [www.sidefx.com]

And now Houdini won't start.

The loading window appears for a microsecond and closes. No error message or anything.

In task manager I see that houdini.exe starts and disappears instantly.

Maybe it's related to something I've touched on the windows environment variables?

I have tried to repair Houdini and it does not work. I've also tried reinstalling Houdini and it still won't turn on. I have restarted the machine and neither. I installed it as in the tutorial and everything was fine until I put a node that gave error. Then I noticed that I had installed Python 3.10.11. And I read that 3.10.6 should be installed. I installed it but then Stable Diffusion wouldn't run because it said the python path didn't exist. So I looked for how to fix it and it was solved by adding the paths in the windows system variables environment. So Stable Diffusion ok. But since then Houdini does not turn on. So I've reinstalled the other python versions. But nothing works. Houdini won't start.

I don't know what I could have done to make it not start. Maybe it's not python and it's something else?

Please see if you can help me.

Thank you very much and sorry for the inconvenience.

To rule out I have checked the licenses and they are correct.

SOLVED

In a tutorial to install Automatic1111 it was requested to create a "PYTHONPATH" with python directories in the windows system environment variables. These variables were conflicting with the variables that existed within "Path". Clearing the "PYTHONPATH" variables has everything back to normal and now Houdini starts up just fine.
