Is this something known as a bug?

Create Cop2Netork
Create noise, connect to Radial Blur….

After 2 seconds starts to build the image and then shuts down my laptop without any warning. Happens with H14.0.367

Shutdown issues are usually caused by hardware faults, such as overheating or bad memory.

If you have GPU-accelerated compositing enabled, try turning that off to see if it's a driver issue (which can also hang/reboot the computer due to its higher privilege level in some OSes). Edit > Prefs, Compositing, Cooking tab.
