Not sure if something is wrong with my install or machine but the overall experience is very laggy.
Before Houdini 22 I had 20.5 installed with a local license for a smoother experience, I followed a YouTube tutorial to remove the lag when you search for nodes in the TAB menu and the delay after you put down a node.
I was hoping you would not need to deep dive with license stuff to improve the fluidity of houdini with this new version.
Does anyone have the same experience as me? I have an empty scene in the build context and modelling a low poly object.
And just dialling in a poly extrude sop is quite laggy, switching the menu context from build > animate feels also super laggy.
Not sure if there something wrong here but I'm very excited about this release, would be amazing to hear if there is solutions.
Laggy experience with Houdini 22

Just to add another data point.
Nvidia Studio Driver 610.62
RTX 3080
Windows 10
Houdini 22.0.368
Simple test of spinning the camera around in the Scene View, no geometry.
New UI + G Sync On: ~44 fps
Old UI + G Sync On: >120 fps
New UI + G Sync Off: >120 fps
Old UI + G Sync Off: >120 fps
Not sure what it is with the New UI and Nvidia G-Sync, but Houdini definitely doesn't like it.
