You can probably use rawValue() instead of eval()

If you want every lidar live in the scene I would approach this a bit differently:
- Get the files with a `file pattern` TOP
- Store file paths on points in SOP's
- Create a for-each loop looping over all the top workitem points (Can be compiled for more speed? probably/maybe)
- Reference the file path from each point `points(-1, "filepath", 0)`

To get the min/max value of an array you can use the min()/max() functions.
BONUS: you can also get the average by using the avg()

int array[] = array(1, 5, 5, 5, 9, 4); int max = max(array); int min = min(array); int avg = avg(array);

The main problem is that you're trying to modify unpacked instances. The secondary problem is that you can't edit bellow instance roots. I recommend using the pattern selector to see if your selection patterns are valid

I believe I got around some flicker where the camera was static by adding a tiiiny bit of animation on the camera so that it forced itself to update

Another technique would be to use the fuse node with "Match Attribute"
With fuse you also get a lot of tools to manage how things merge. A real powerhouse

Solaris and Karma » Creating variants in for loop from input primitives

I found a way yesterday, I was basically just using the for each loop incorrectly. . .
This correct approach lets me create variants from prims quite easily.
Only thing I would add is that there is a prim present even if no variant is selected. One day I'll look at that too

Houdini Lounge » [SOLVED] Can I choose which GPU is used for XPU rendering?

Yes, with environment variables [www.sidefx.com].
You need to test what Device number belongs to what card
If you only want to render with the GPU you can set
You can create a ..../houdini19.5/packages/KarmaSettings.json to drive these
As:
KARMA_XPU_DISABLE_DEVICE_0 Disable device 0 when rendering with Karma XPU. KARMA_XPU_DISABLE_DEVICE_1 Disable device 1 when rendering with Karma XPU.
If you only want to render with the GPU you can set
KARMA_XPU_DISABLE_EMBREE_DEVICE Disable the Embree device when rendering with Karma XPU.
You can create a ..../houdini19.5/packages/KarmaSettings.json to drive these
As:
{ "enable" : true, "env": [ {"KARMA_XPU_DISABLE_DEVICE_0" : 1}, {"KARMA_XPU_DISABLE_DEVICE_1" : 0}, {"KARMA_XPU_DISABLE_EMBREE_DEVICE" : 1} ] }

Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to import constant usd primvars/attributes as detail attributes?
I'm storing some asset specific detail attributes in sops, I would like to be able to import them straight back to detail attributes with usdimport in sops.
I did notice that I get a detail attribute listing the constant attributes, so now I'm attribute promoting them after the unpack.
Would be nice if constant attributes were at least available on the Packed USD's in sops, seems like only name/path is a available.
I did also notice that the usdanimimport node imports blend shape weight values straight to detail attributes, so maybe there is hope?

It's probably because the "i@my_id" needs to be a prim attribute not point. (you can promote it after your copy to points)
Vellum constraint properties runs over prims, so it cant find your id attribute

since when Houdini has sculpting tools??
Have I missed some update??
The old Sculpt node is near unusable. a New sculpt node could make quick tweaks so much better.
There is Shot Sculpt (at 48 sec)
