The website digital tutors is a good start in my opinion - especially since you seem to be interested in other stuff like coding as you get access to pluralsight through them also; http://www.digital-tutors.com/ [digital-tutors.com]

Thank you, although that site is a little too much. $29/Mnth to learn how to create a simple animation isn't feasible to me.

Beginner: help! 3D Animation April 27, 2015, 11:33 a.m.

Alright, so I just got familiar with Houdini. I wouldn't even say I know the basics. I watched all of the Houdini demos and tutorials, but even that seems too advanced.

I just want to know how to create 3D animation. That's all. So animations that have mostly video pans in realistic environments. That seemed simple at first, until I tried using it.

Is there anyone who has any tutorials on this specific area? Or someone who is willing to guide me through, or even make their own tutorials?

Thanks

Some background: I'm actually very advanced with computers, with html coding, computer science, coding, etc. The only animation I've done was some crappy Macromedia 2D clips.
I feel I would be excelling more at Houdini if I knew the basics. I know the basic key functions, moving around the software, where most things are, but I don't know enough. If I just knew the basics, I would be able to figure out the rest on my own.

Any help is appreciated!
