Volume OPGL problem[solved] Dec. 3, 2014, 4:24 a.m.

Hi there,
Recently I upgraded my Houdini from v547 to v582, and I got some wired results in viewpor when I was doing the basic pyro sim(using preset).
I posted the screenshot as follows.

My OS: centos 7
computer:
E2620*2
64G 1600 RAM
GTX 970

this problem also occurred at one of my another computer, which has the same OS with the previous.
hareware for this one:
X5690*2
64G 1333 EEC RAM
GTX 680

v547 is working very well on GTX680 but couldn't bring volume out to viwport on GTX970.

Driver ver:
343.22 for the first,
340.46 for the second.

Any suggestion is much appreciated .

Question on creating a Huge pyro fireball Oct. 14, 2014, 11:58 p.m.

Hi guys,
I am kind of new here and I started my pyro FX study recently. Currently I am working on creating a big gun firing of Battleship, something looks like below. I tried to use the shelf tool fireball to create it, however, I didn't get the right result on fireball's shape. it looks like I got a wrong force field as drag to drive it. I think I have at least two goals to achieve.
1.fireball's speed.
2.fireball's shape.

I am also thinking of adding some collision geo to simulate the gun and use it to push the pyro out.

Anyone who has experience on those kind of works could give me a suggestions?

Cheers,
Gu
