Trying to get rid of flicker when rendering specular objects March 3, 2005, 3:46 p.m.
The combination of the facet sop and upping the super sampling helped a lot. It is still not perfect, but it's useable and I may just have to tweak the numbers more to get it there.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Trying to get rid of flicker when rendering specular objects Feb. 27, 2005, 3:12 p.m.
Hi, I am hoping this is some newbie mistake…
When I am rendering out my animation most of the objects with some specular highlights are flickering a bit. Mostly around the edges.
I've put a sample quicktime movie online that shows the more complex object on the left flickering, and the sphere on the right with the same shader being perfectly static. (both objects are polygons then subdivided).

Anyone know why this is happening or more importantly… how it can be stopped? Thanks.

Shader for a magnifying glass Nov. 1, 2004, 9:45 p.m.
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew how I would go about making or obtaining a shader to be the glass part of a magnifying glass so that it will magnify what is seen on the other side.
Thanks
