I was using Fizz on the guides as well. You can apply a texture multiply on the fizz amplitude/intensity to reduce/alleviate problematic parts. It worked for me as the part that was going under actually didn't need fizz. Seems like something that could be handled/detected by the generate node

After testing out the Water Glass setup a bit more and rendering out it's default results also noticed that while the resulting surface is better in its default low res it is too low res to make a good render as the water doesn't properly stay bounded to the glass / is constantly penetrating the glass surface (no good on a transparent container).

Ran into this same issue. One solution is to put the script directly in the command argument not in the script parameters. For karma: "husk --preframe-script $HQROOT/script.py"

It still has one issue. The $ variables get evaluated when generating USDs so this won't work in a multi OS setup.
