Fur Stretching Problem Nov. 16, 2014, 11:32 a.m.
I have just started learning houdini and I am trying to create a fur/fluid interaction. I have a flip fluid influencing some wire guides which I have set the linear spring to 10000 and the linear damp to around 150. The wire guide themselves are not stretching but the fur is and I don't know why.
I am using the kangular attribute on the guides which is being driven by a colour map, so that the guides go limp when they are ‘wet’.
Here is a link to a video showing my problem. The first part is the wire guides and the second part is the fur:

File is attached.

Thanks that does the trick
Problem with wire and flip interaction. Nov. 6, 2014, 10:01 a.m.
Hi. I have found that the interaction between flip fluids and wires using the fluid force dop is behaving strangely; even when I use the FlipFluidWire.otl example file.
When the fluid collides with the wires, they stretch out erratically. I have attached a screenshot of what happens when using the above mentioned example file.
I am using the latest non-commercial release.
