Thanks for that…and yes I do understand the not ‘running before walking’… just exploring stuff right now so jumping in the deep end too.

Final word tonight though…the renders coming out as you describe are a long way off the more photorealistic efforts that the tutorial depict and it does seem that these results come directly from the steps the guy in the Off the Shelf Ocean Wave tutorial steps through?…..
