How to turn off tessellation in the viewport globally? Feb. 26, 2026, 5:28 a.m.
I also made an RFE for better management of "osd_scheme" subdivision and received the same answer of setting Display Options > Tessellation > Subdivision Limit to 0. It works but it is slow and unintuitive for many artists. It can also be hard to even realize that subdivision is on and slowing down every viewport operation.
I couldn't find any setting on unpackusd:polygons which would prevent it from unpacking the osd_scheme attribute, which means an attribdelete sop after it is required to get rid of it.
SideFX, please fix.

@CYTE, any chance this Brush Tool is still available, or has it been combined with your Modeler package?
