With the last few versions of Houdini 13 I have some problems running hcustom correctly. From time to time, i got the following error “Could not find Platform SDK installation directory”. Strangely enough this seems to happen purely random. Yesterday after the installation of the latest production build hcustom didn´t work anymore. So I reinstalled the previous version I was working with (13.0.227) and encountered the same problem. After uninstalling, installing and going back and forth I got hcustom running again but I have no clue what was (is) causing the error. So I´m wondering If this is a bug or is it rather a problem on my side (computer)? Could it be that the latest installers of Houdini are messing up the environment variables somehow?
Btw. I tried it on 2 other machines with the same result. All running Houdini 13.0.xxx vc9 on Windows 7 64bit. Windows SDK ist installed the compiler works and MSVCDir is set correctly afaik.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
