This is indeed a bug. Thanks for finding it! The Divide SOP produces special cases that has exposed this bug which is now fixed as of 8.1.746.

FWIW, Apple's desktop market share is around 3% and their portable market share is around 5%.
Problems with layout nodes and grid snaping Feb. 13, 2006, 3:03 p.m.
Using a tiny grid is a good use of grid snapping and the layout algorithm now supports these grid spacings that are smaller than the tile sizes; the tiles no longer bunch up with automatic tile placement. Look for the fix in Houdini 9!
