Hi everybody here, I am rather fresh with Houdini as well as L-System in Houdini and recently get some quite confused question about L-System of Houdini in the course of learning the tutorials from cmiVFX ( cmiVFX L-System Part 1).
Here the questions are:
In the part 1 of the tutorial, the author mentioned a sample like this:
1 to set the premise as “ FX ”
2 rule 1 is "X=F(h)X“
3 rule 2 is ”F(h)=F(h+1)"
the first question is the result of the tree is something like the nodes in between are not increased but decreased gradually (from the second expression of the rule, it would have increased one by one), I am too stupid to understand the author's explanation about this part. can anyone give me a hand on it?


Another question is :
here is the result of L-system in textport :

the question is where the value marked with red came from, from the initial setting of the sample, it seems that they should be constant number.
