Learn how to build a complete stylized character in Houdini from an empty scene to a finished, riggable, and animatable asset. Using a rig first approach, you’ll develop the character piece by piece while combining procedural modeling, sculpting, retopology, blend shapes, clothing, UVs, and texturing into a flexible system that can continue evolving throughout production.

You’ll also explore KineFX skinning, procedural capture weights, automatic skin transfer to clothing and accessories, Auto Rig Builder, APEX Control Rig, and final look development in Solaris with Karma XPU. This series shows how Houdini’s procedural approach can keep modeling, rigging, and animation connected, giving artists the freedom to reshape, regenerate, and refine a character without locking decisions too early.
