This time we got a tutorial about the Houdini fur tool and how we can create grss with it. I create the grass for the island by creating a skin and guides for the fur tool. After designing the grass blades and planting them on the mesh we create a fur shader to get this grass rendered.

    Dang, I was hoping for a lesson on the FUR system. I'm not sure why you have the word "FUR in the title..?

    Make sure to watch it completey. In this tutorial everything is set up to be used wir the Fur procedural shader. Of you wanted to create "normal" fur - my island would be the body; the grass blade the Single hair. It's just another application of the fur tools.

    need to know vex, or at least have it drummed into me, houdini user since action1.0 so all this attribute stuff, although amazing, is boggling. thanks for the tutorials!
