Learn more about making stylized rocks in Houdini. This rock tool won't be very advanced and would recommend the project GROT rock tool for a more advanced version. The idea is that we take a sphere and apply different noises and deformation on top of it to make it look more like a rock shape.

Great work! Would you suggest to use the "unreal_material" attribute always? It looks like it's definitely a good habit! Have you found some cases where you preferred the manual assignment in Unreal?

I wonder about this too. It seems like there are a couple of decent ways to connect houdini and unreal these days.
It would be nice, i think if you could shuffle a basic material from a houdini asset to unreal, just as a starting point.
Like, i tried just saving out a USD with a mtlx shader and loading that directly. It kind of worked out of the box. like, it picked up vertex colors, but there was a texture map which didn't get connected, so i still had to drag it into the shader.
maybe this could work with a USD rop inside an HDA somehow?

The fact that the icon for the Flatten node in Houdini is a picture of earth being flattened is Hilarious. Wake up sheeple!

I'm using Houdini Apprentice Non-Commercial 20.5.654. I don't have the "Transform From Centroid" node :(
