When HOUDINI19_CHECKOUT_SYSTEM is set to 0 (default) the application will check to see if hserver supports the new system and will use the new system for the lifetime of the application. If the running hserver does not support the new system then the old system will be used instead. If for some reason the new system cannot be used at this time setting the environment variable to 2 will disable the use of the new system regardless of hserver supporting it. Setting the environment variable to 1 will use the new system regardless of the hserver version and is the recommended setting once the studios pipeline can support this setting. Disabling the use of the new system is strongly discouraged.
