Biomes in Unreal
Gamedev
Learn how to scatter plants with the SideFXLabs Biome toolset and bring them into Unreal Engine with Houdini Engine. Set up the example project, build an HDA, and pass landscape layers and custom per-instance data into Unreal materials for better environmental control and variation.
This project requires a SideFX Labs installation and some biome tools require Houdini version 20.5 or newer.

It looks a bit gaudy but its hopefully clear which comments belong to which nodes. If you like sticky notes, you'll love the other biome demo. https://www.sidefx.com/contentlibrary/biome-demo/

haha no it's good! made it really easy to pull out just what i needed for the project i was working on. good timing too... i would have just used the old scatter node and this is about a billion times better for placing plants etc on a terrain. preciateCHA!
I'll check out the other one too, thanks.
