i just installed apprentice and it seems to be working except that all my icons are white. im running quad phenom 8 gig ram quadro 3700 win 7 x64

Which quadro driver are you using?

driver version 8.17.12.6306

edit; downloadng latest driver now…i ve found H a bit unstable too..example…add environment light, turn on sky, hit render, crash…a few little error messages popping up here and there too…maybe driver will resolve

got the latest drivers….but it didnt fix the white icon problem

Try removing the houdini11.0 directory in your user directory, and restart Houdini.

done…still no love. all white

Have you tried uninstalling Houdini with the Houdini un-install app? Then reinstalling Houdini again?

I had a the same issue when installing on the Mac some months ago. That sorted the problem for me. I did have Houdini 10 installed on my machine as well so I uninstalled that as well as 11.
