Hi

I had imported an teapot from MAX to Houdini and then I apply subdivide node I couldn't obtain a similar result like in MAX. The teapot is not sleek -hi is too noisy.

Please, explain, what is the my problem?

Are any othe ways to smooth objects in Houdiny?

Thanks

Nickel, if it helps Houdini also has the Utah teapot, although it's tucked away under the Platonic Solids SOP and is not made of polygons. Other than that it's the same good old teapot.

If it's not too much trouble, screenshots might help.

Two things to check, first are all the primitive normals pointing in the same orientation, ie outwards, and second stick a fuse sop down and make sure all the points are consolidated.
The trick is finding just the right hammer for every screw
