I wanna learn more about VOP's but I don't really know where to start..

I can always add every node one by one.. check the manual en test it out.. but it would also be nice to see some tutorials, I am mostly interested in the VOP for creating shaders currently, might wanna look into other stuff later..

So.. anyone knows some useful tutorials? I am willing to buy some tutorials, so price is not much of a problem for me.

Or just.. old school button bashing?

Thanks in advance!

I'm learning a lot by peeling away the Houdini shaders. Renderman tutorial also translate pretty well, especially with SLIM.

I agree, some shader specific content would be nice.

For now, im just taking things apart and seeing how they work, looking at others example files. Not the most straightforward method of learning, but its better than guessing.

I think learning how to shade in Renderman translates pretty well to Mantra's micropolygon rendering. The concepts are the same although the terminology can be different. eg. http://www.fundza.com/ [fundza.com]
