Hi folks,

I'm following, step by step, the Houdini VTM caustics.avi - the one that is located in www.sidefx.com Video Tutorials section. I'm sure that I'm doing everithing right (well - at least as it is shown in the VTM) - but still the thing do not work - I can't see any caustics - and this is a very basic tutorial.

So - I will be really obliged if someone (using Houdini under Linux) could send me by e-mail - any basic coustics scene - the working one :wink: - some colored ball on a grid making some caustics effect and a photon map - would be just perfect.

my specs:

OS - Linux Mandrake 10.0
Houdini 7.x Non-com.

Oh - sorry - everithing works auite fine - the problem was that the nuber of the photons that wass used in the VTM (100 000) - was not enough to see any caustics - increasing the number to a total of 1 000 000 that worked

I have same problem , changing the photon 1000000 and not work



which is the problem?
