Im doing some mantra PBR renders and im getting invalid pixel values in my exrs.
In RV and Nuke i get a pixel value of 1.#QNAN0 (Not a number).

It seems to be a combination of using bump and SSS in a Mantra Surface Shader. Im using PBR in the renderer and increasing the Max Ray Samples makes it worse.

I can probably get around this but id like a better understanding of why this is happening.

Thanks.

Hi,
Make sure your using a newer build of Houdini 12.1 something. Next in your PBR mantra rop adjust the ray tracing bias value. I found adjusting that got rid of my nan's

Yeah….like Rob say's you might have to upgrade to solve the issue as it is a confirmed bug that was fixed.
