i am trying to do a rain of objects just falling down and each object has a diferent material.
I have been trying to follow this
http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1050&Itemid=216 [sidefx.com]
i know that i can do POPs for the motion of the rain.
and in obj lvl drop a instance node. but how do i tell to randomize diferent object, and also diferent materials.
example.
make rain boxes sphere and torus. and later on randomize color red green and blue.
so i can have in my rain
boxes that are color red, or green or blue.
spheres that are color red or green or blue
torus that are color red or green or blue
with instance,
Thanks guys.

Hi pelos,
Divide and conquer the problem. Suggested elements would be
Rain > Simple particles falling from grid
Random objects instanced and NOT copied onto points
Materials > Object colour randomly applied to each instance.
I have kicked you off with a scene. Maybe you can replace the point source with a basic pop set up and add a random colour attribute. and later on random materials to the objects. Any questions let me know
