Destruction simulation

Hello Houdini people! I am working on a shot where a tower is being destroyed when a dragon smashes into it. It is a very very rough test right now. I am trying to learn how to go about it. Let me know what you think about it.

nice start…
it would be much better if you built an interior to the tower…spiral staircase etc…

Hey! Thanks for the feedback!
Yeah this is a rough test where I was just trying to get used to Houdini. I will now look at references and in the mean-time the modeller on the project is doing a model with all the interior detail.

Good start!

But personally, I prefer more structural destruction [zanozza.com] instead of classic Voronoi “sandbox”.

I mean structural as this (by the way, no any boolean operations):



Try to think how you can setup structure and then cut your model. One advise: this could be easy settled on UV-based maps.
