Every time I open the latest First Step Procedural Modeling Lesson 1 hip file, the Houdini Console will show up and keep displaying empty lines one after another, and I can't turn it off.

Did anybody have similar problem?

did you try hit “ctrl - c” in the python shell?
i once had similar problems when i went in fullscreen i got a random debug message popping up. I never found out why but i could stop it by pressing ctrl c in the python shell.

Maybe its the same issue.

Hi, doudini, thanks! once I activate the Python Shell pane tab, the houdini console stops displaying empty lines and can now be shut down.
