Doing my research, I can't find a solution for this problem, most of the time Houdini (or Realflow) crashes because of the precision required for this type of simulation.

Is this possible in Houdini?

It is only possible with HDK? What about a custom solver?

Thanks in advance.

When you have got crashes with houdini or Realflow (never used it) look at the drivers(GPU, USB, Wacom Tablet,…) on your computer. when you have a buggy driver they will crash.

current version i can run houdini weeks long with no crash and TByte of data generation.

for your crown shape there was a request at odforce:

Thanks for answering, I already saw those links, but I'm looking for something very realistic. For example:

Thin-films are still complex and hard to achieve in production cgi.

Most likely if it's been achieved to date, it won't be shared.
