Hi, I'm having some trouble getting primitives to render in Houdini 6.1.208. They seem to render from some angles but not others. What am I doing wrong?

Many thanks,

What type of primitives? Tubes, Spheres, cureves, polygons,…? There are a whole bunch in Houdini. As well, do they have materials, are they being lit properly?
There's at least one school like the old school!

There spheres! Originally I had them all set to polygons and that rendered fine. However, I'm now try to reduce the poly count by stripping away excess detail and the spheres take up alot. They have a standard vex_decal on them and are lit with a series of point lights.

Many thanks.

maybe ur doing a mantra select render?
I tried doing what u just stated : making a simple sphere, reducing the rez to 1 and using a vex_decal worked fine with mantra…
maybe if u can upload the file?
