Hi All,
I am trying to render a scene. It takes a while. Yet every time I walk away from the computer and come back Windows has crashed and rebooted. So it appears to be a BSD. This only happens when rendering with Houdini 13. My system is very stable otherwise. I think this has something to do with power saving settings. I can't confirm this yet but my guess is that when the power management kicks in Houdini crashes.
I also have similar issues on my Mac mini running Apprentice. OSX does not seem to think that rendering under full load constitutes the computer is in use and idles down the CPUs to a slower Megahertz when it's sleep time is reached.
Is this a known issue?
Is it expected that we are supposed to disable power management to use Houdini?
