seams between groups in houdini asset (unity)

Hi everyone,

I created some terrain (a planet) which I want to use in a houdini asset in Unity. Because Unity limits the amount of vertices in a mesh, I am forced to split them up in smaller meshes, which I did through grouping in Houdini.

But when I build the houdini asset in Unity I have gaps/seams between the meshes/groups which I didn't have in the Houdini viewport.
I checked some of the vertices at the borders and their coördinates are not the same as the vertices at the border of the neighbour mesh.

What went wrong and are there any solutions?

Friendly regards,

I found a way to fix it:

First I started with a cube and created groups from every primitives of that cube, then I subdivided, made all the points into a sphere and placed some noise on the sphere's surface.

Now I group after I do all the subdividing, … etc… near the end of the netwerk.

It seems to work out that way. The seams/gaps are gone
