I have some imported geometry with what I guess is considered bad topology (many stretched triangles, etc) and when it comes to rendering I get problems like this;
I've tried using a facet, and clean node and pressing different checkmarks to see the effect and haven't gotten anywhere. Using a remesh I get what looks like proper topology but it's dimenson and shape is obviously not the exactly same as the original - indeed is quite lumpy, and is also more polygon heavy. if I crank up the settings they seem more accurate but not enough to offset the time it takes or the end result (which is polygon city).
any help is appreciated!
