Hi There

I've been using sph fluid particle sim in blender and would like to try the same in Houdini but I can't figure out how to build it up.
Is anybody able to show me the correct node set up for this please?

Any help much appreciated.

thanks
Nigel.

in the Houdini we use Flip Simulation instead of SPH Simulation , the Flip is so faster and better than SPH.

Also Naiad used Flip method too.
of course we had SPH method in the Houdini before , but it's delete from UI for now.

So just use Particles Fluids section in the Shelf tool.

I think SPH fluid nodes are all still there, just possibly not on the shelf by default.

Thanks, after initial readings I thought Flip fluids were more suited to large bodies of water rather than for example a glass of water but having read further it seems maybe not. I'll have a play.

Yoop , I think so , I know older Houdini nodes are available in newer versions T of course some of them are hidden and we should unhide them with opunhide command. (e.g opunhide Sop vopsop for adding VopSop node to Tab list in H15)

for small scale waters I think you can use Particle Fluid Solver node too.

Just dive inside AutoDopNetwork and use Particle Fluid Solver instead of Flip Solver node !

Hi there

I've been using the flip solver with vdb it seems to be going well but I will have a look at the particle fluid solver also and see what I get.

Anybody know if there's a guide somewhere to setting up the dop network and inter relationships from scratch rather than with the shelf tools?

thanks
Nigel.
