Ok I want to create this smoke that evaporates, but so far i've been using objects i.e., spheres, cubes, toruses. The problem with those is when the simulation is done I can still see the outline of the object. So my next thought was to use particles from an emitter “Location Particle Emitter.” But when I attach let's say “Wispy Smoke” it doesn't show up in the render view, but when I use a object to simulate it, it shows up in the render view. So my question is how do I attach effects like those on emitted particles?

The Wispy Smoke material is expecting a volume attribute named density to exist on your object. That is why it does not show up on basic geo. It is typically used with volume rendering.
