Can i install 14 or 15 for free?

hello I am a student who want to learn houdini
MBP mid 2012 13-inch
I installed houdini16(free) but always crashed
and i tried to install 14 or 15
but i do not have license i choose local license
how can I DO?

Review the hard specs of your machine. H16 may crash if you run it on low end hardware.
It is best use most recent version.
Using Houdini Indie 20.0
Windows 11 64GB Ryzen 16 core.
nVidia 3050RTX 8BG RAM.
