We're preparing to setup distributed rendering using our in-house queue system.

Generally speaking, is there anything about distributed rendering that is different in v16.0 as compared to v15.5?

Distributed rendering should work the same for v16.0 as it did in v15.5 in terms of licensing and how render work can be split up across render nodes. There are no changes that I know of.
