I'm really enjoying learning Houdini and amazed at what it can do!

A weird thing though is that the install files don't download properly via my normal Internet Service Provider. It gets to nearly almost complete and then konks out saying that the connection was interrupted. It happens in both Chrome, IE on Windows 10 and also via the WIFI link on my phone. The only way I can get the install files is by downloading it via my 4G mobile phone data plan.

I download other much bigger files using the ISP - like KALI a CyberSecurity pen testing Linux distribution - without any problems. I've only ever come across this error with Houdini.

I had a similar problem like that at work. I tracked it down to the fact that my network cable was being run through an older style phone system in order to connect voice to email or something. The phone could not handle the through put.

I realize you mention there is no other problems other than SideFX website but if you have a spare network cable try swapping it out with the one you are using.

Thanks for the reply - I'll give it a go when I find a cable but it would be a bit weird as everything else works ok
