ok, when i turn off the micro-polygon rendering, my shaders reset.. my objects just turn to a light grey. but when i turn it on.. everything loks fine and takes forever to render.
and i and just using some default VEX shaders. nothing crazy.
also is there a way to pre cook stuff so that way stuff renders quicker?

Turning off MicroPolygon rendering should only reslult in a slightly different look. It sounds like your shaders are not being applied in the switch. Sounds like a bug.
As for the speed, what options do you have on? Some operations like calculating ambient occlusion can be slow.
