How do I create a digital asset which uses another asset with object merge?

when trying to create it I get the error message: “The selected subnet has references to nodes outside the subnet”

Maybe create another subnet with both nodes IN it. A HDA cant have external references so put it inside. Or dont object merge it but connect it to an input of the subnet.
